Last year, hundreds of volunteers donated over 2,500 hours at Seven Loaves Food Pantry.  Adults, youth, churches, civic groups, and corporations donated money, food, & life skills expertise to help Seven Loaves Food Pantry to meet the needs of our county's less fortunate. THANK YOU!

HOW TO VOLUNTEER

(Links to sign-up pages are below, but 

PLEASE follow these instructions first)

 

1)  Complete Requirements (Criminal Background Check and Civil     Rights Training) and receive confirmation of your eligibility


2)  Select a Volunteer Opportunity or Position you would like to fill - see descriptions and training required for each opportunity / position below

 

3)  Send email listing day, time and opportunity/position you would like to fill to  volunteers@7loavescommunity.org

 

4)   Wait for confirmation before coming to pantry 

VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENTS 

*   ALL volunteers, 18 and older,  must complete the Criminal     Background Check and Civil Rights Training Form

*   Volunteers must be 14 or older

*   Volunteers under the age of 16 must be accompanied 

by a parent

*   All volunteers must be scheduled through our volunteer     coordinators.  Please DO NOT show up with out being scheduled

CIVIL RIGHTS TRAINING FORM

To comply with requirements of the North Texas Food Bank, all volunteers must complete a short PowerPoint course for Civil Rights training.  Once the course is completed, volunteers must sign the Civil Rights Training Roster at the volunteer sign in table. Volunteers who have already completed the course in 2011 or 2012 need to sign the roster.

A Volunteer Coordinator will contact volunteers for scheduling once these requirements are complete.


VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES & POSITIONS
We have several volunteer opportunities and positions.  Some require lifting, but many do not.  Click on each opportunity to see it's description and if training is required.  

Pantry Day - positions are limited & require some training (background checks are required)


Pantry Support - many opportunities & "on the job" training 

  • Food Drive facilitators
  • Fresh & Frozen food procurement
    Food Delivery & Intake team
  • Sorting food and stocking shelves
  • Packing / bagging food for client distribution
  • Client records and reporting

 

Joseph's Coat - Joseph's Coat is open Thursdays 4-6 and volunteers are needed beginning at 3 until 6:30 for clean up.  Special work day opportunities are available for groups upon request.
